About Nana
In the late 1800's Great Grand Nana Duncan left Scotland with her husband and immigrated to Canada. A few years later, they moved to Northern Maine, where they raised their four boys and four girls on a large potato farm. Back then, Nana churned butter, made preserves, and milked the cows that became essential ingredients to her favorite bread, pie, and cookie recipes. Grand Nana (Florence Duncan Clark) grew up by her mother's side in the kitchen, learning by heart, the recipes and natural flavorings that went into the especially baked sweets she had loved as a child.

Grand Nana married a minister, raised two boys and two girls, and opened their home as a haven for dozens of orphaned and homeless children. Her youngest daughter Imogene Mae Clark Johnson is the current reigning Nana. Entrusted with two generations of recipes, Nana has passed her skills and passion for baking to her daughter, Susan Johnson Reardon. And it is Susan who is continuing the tradition of exquisite baking at "Nana's Pantry."
